The Nationwide Tour has raised nearly $30 million for charity over the past 14 years. In 2007, the Nationwide Tour donated nearly $7.5 million to charity. The Nationwide Tour Players Cup recently launched a new program to create additional funding for charitable organizations in the state of West Virginia. The "TICKETS Fore CHARITY" program allows charitable organizations to sell discounted tickets to the prestigious July 7-13 golf tournament and in return receive 100 percent of the money raised from their ticket sales. The TICKETS Fore CHARITY program was created and developed by the PGA TOUR, which operates the Nationwide Tour. The program allows charitable organizations to sell discounted tournament tickets through their outreach in the community.
The Nationwide Tour and its tournaments have always been committed to supporting charities in the communities in which events are played. The collective efforts of players, tournaments, sponsors and more than 12,000 volunteers have positively impacted thousands of charities throughout the world. The organizers of the Nationwide Tour Players Cup hope to increase contributions to all charities involved for years to come. The tournament staff wishes to recognize the following charities for their involvement in the TICKETS Fore CHARITY program:
